Dubai Logistics City (DLC)

Dubai Logistics City (DLC) is the world’s first fully integrated logistics platform. It offers all the modes of transport, along with every logistics support and value added services. The facilities offered to the investors include light manufacturing and assembly. The entire facility operates as a single customs bonded and Free Zone environment. 

DLC is adjacent to the DWC-Al Maktoum International Airport. This airport is being rapidly expanded and developed into the world’s largest airports. Dubai has become the regional business center for re-export, retail, leisure, aviation, IT and banking. More than 60% of the entire Middle East’s imports pass through Dubai. 

The logistics market has been posting a growth of more than 20% annually. The DLC leverages these facts and aims to drive this growth much more. This unique platform enhances the leadership position of Dubai as a logistics hub for the entire Middle East, Europe, Asia and Africa.

DLC is spread over 21.5 square km and offers a fully integrated multi-modal logistics platform in a single customs-bonded free zone environment made up of DLC, DWC Aviation City and Jebel Ali Port.

The 41,000 square meter cargo terminal within DLC has an annual handling capacity of 600,000 tonnes. Sixteen similar terminals are being planned for DLC. 

More than 150 companies have already reserved space and four major companies are ready to operate. 

World’s largest supply chain community is being created using the DLC, within Dubai World Central. 

DLC consists of several groups of facilities, which include shared warehouses for freight forwarders, dedicated plots of land for lease to set up various businesses, dedicated plots of land for facilities of integrators, office buildings and ancillary services. 

The investors will enjoy many financial benefits of a free zone, like customs duty exemption, no taxes, liberal visa policy, free capital transfer, 100% ownership etc. 

Apart from these DLC brings to the table the logistics know-how and trained and cost effective labor. 
A bridge will link DLC and Jebel Ali Port and Free Zone allowing free movement of cargo once they are offloaded from a ship or flight.

DLC is interested in logistics service providers focusing Airfreight shipments with multimodal transport needs. They are also targeting 3PL and contract logistics service providers offering warehousing/distribution and value added services. 

DLC offers offices for lease, convention facilities, business hotels and other amenities      along with a 10,000 car park .
